Xiamen Jimei will build 13 "buried" sewage treatment stations

A few days ago, the first sewage treatment station on the west bank of the Xinglin Bay waterfront in Jimei District was formally put into use. The daily sewage treatment capacity reached 5,000 tons, and the processing station occupied only 1/4 of the ordinary sewage treatment plant. According to reports, 13 such “ground-buried” sewage treatment stations will be set up along the entire Xinglin Bay.

According to the person in charge of the environmental protection department in Jimei District, Xinglin Bay with a water area of ​​6.9 square kilometers is called the “heart” of Jimei, and the agricultural, township and township industries and domestic waste water in the upstream area of ​​more than 200 square kilometers are mostly directly treated without treatment. emission. The construction of "ground-buried" sewage treatment stations is an important measure to solve the difficulty of wastewater treatment in Yanwan Bay. The treated sewage will eventually become available reclaimed water and become the construction of the surrounding area and Jimei New City, greening irrigation, washing and flushing water, which will enable Jimei New Town to achieve at least 50% water saving.
