If Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant showed up at the gym for a workout, who would leave first? If neither leave, how would they survive in the gym, and for how long?
After watching Jay Williams talk about Kobe's insane work ethic and the line about "I see how hard you work, so I gotta push myself to work harder than you", it got me thinking about if Jordan and Kobe has showed up in the gym.
Kobe would see Jordan working out and have to work harder, but then Jordan would see Kobe and work harder than Kobe. Eventually this would lead to a never-ending workout sesh.
However, at some point one of them would have to leave. Or would they? Maybe the only way for one to leave is to kill the other?
A sort of 2 men enter, 1 man leaves scenario. I'd think they could agree to both leave at the same time but we all know they'd go "alright on 3...1...2...3! YOU DIDN'T GO!!!"
So what do you guys think? Who leaves first? And how? Maybe in a bodybag? It's up to you to figure it out.
MJ would leave first. Kobe arrives first just to show MJ he's working harder to be better than MJ but people forget that MJ's competitive side seems to be much different than Kobe's.
I think Kobe felt like he needed to prove how good he was and MJ knew he was the best and just always wanted to be in a possession to hold it over you.
So MJ would probably see Kobe in there early and feel like he's already won. Now if MJ goes in the gym and works for 4 hours or something then that gives Kobe time to study his moves and also feel like MJ works that hard to be that good.
The best thing for MJ to do is do like 2-3 layups then walk off the court. Now Kobe has no idea wtf it is MJ does to be that good.
What is it with people trying to make it out that Kobe was somehow insecure? Shaq had told stories about how Kobe said he'd win 5-6 chips and be the best right from the start.
Kobe had supreme confidence and used to be accused of being arrogant even. Dude worked hard because he knew what he wanted and he knew how he'd obtain it.
The hard work and competitiveness manifests as supreme confidence. It's literally the same story as MJ.
