Initially, most of Cooper's tires were sold in full import, especially off-road tires. However, as the market share continues to expand, the Asia-Pacific R&D center is on the right track, and the cooperation with Chengshan Tire becomes deeper, localization is also a matter of course. This is not the case, this vertical and horizontal ATS is Cooper's first self-designed research and development by the Asia-Pacific R & D center, and completely Chinese-made off-road tires, so that "Titou Shi" successful dream of China! Even more fortunately, the same Chinese-made Haval CUV as I have become the first tester of this tire!

ATS is a high-performance, cross-country off-road tire for the SUV and 4X4 market. The unique SUV and LT tread pattern design ensures superior grip and handling of tires under a variety of conditions. Moreover, the tread pattern breaks through the previous design and uses optimized audio design to effectively reduce the noise generated by the friction between the tire and the ground, giving the car a quiet and comfortable enjoyment when driving the SUV. The Astrakhan ATS not only brings comfortable feelings, but also achieves all-weather safety control in a variety of bad weather, such as heavy rain, ice and snow, and provides stable driving conditions under road, mud, sand and other road conditions.

For the characteristics of Cooper ATS Astra, I chose three road conditions:

First, paved roads, high-speed road experience as a SUV tires with 70% of urban performance, pavement is certainly the best training ground for Cooper Sagittarius ATS. During the rapid acceleration from 0 to 100km/h, its stiffness and traction performance keep the car body running steadily; at 60km/h cornering, there is no obvious side slip and tail flick; When running on a flat concrete road at a speed of 50km/h, the tire noise is very subtle. This is a very unexpected performance for ATS' large-format off-road tires.

Secondly, when the non-paved road experience was shuttled to the mud surface at a speed of 30 km/h, there was no slippage and idling. Of course the jolting of the 0° slope does not satisfy the appetite of the ATS. In the case of a 35° muddy surface, the tire has enough grip to help my Haval CUV easily escape the predicament.

Third, the slippery road experience we shuttle in the streets of the city, often encounter rain and snow, this situation highlights the excellent drainage and self-cleaning function of the ATS. Due to the optimized design of the wide groove and the fine sipes, the tires have good maneuverability on wet roads. When passing through the wet road area at a speed of 70km/h, the information transmitted to us by the tires can only be described with pragmatism and security. After these three kinds of road experiences, Cooper Aspect ATS left a deep impression on me, although it does not have the performance of pure off-road tires in the mud, but for urban SUVs often cruising in the city, rough patterns and Excellent pavement performance is undoubtedly one of the best choices, and because it is made in China, the price is more acceptable than imported tires.
