Dalian exports the world's largest tonnage bulk carrier

Recently, the world's largest tonnage-sized bulk carrier, the "GEMMA", built by China, was successfully cleared at Dalian Port Customs and sailed to Brazil.

“Jiamei” is a super ore sander with a length of 330 meters and a width of 57 meters. It has a total weight of 151,915 tons and a maximum load of 313,000 tons. It is currently the world’s largest tonnage-class (VLOC) bulk carrier and is also Dalian Shipbuilding Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. The successful completion of the first export ship that was delivered in 2012 for one year and three months marks that Dalian's shipbuilding capabilities have reached the top level in the world.
