OICA's report shows that: In 2009, Changan Automobile became the only car company with a production volume of more than one million vehicles and reached 1.425 million among the Chinese auto manufacturers that were ranked among the top 25 manufacturers in the world’s automotive production. In addition, the other three automakers in China’s four major auto maker groups—SAC, FAW, and Dongfeng—have a total of approximately 1.7 million autonomous production. In terms of independent brand output data, Changan Automobile has a clear leading edge.

From 2009, Changan took advantage of the "car to the countryside" policy to expand the mini vehicle. At the same time, Changan Automobile has increased the construction of self-owned brand cars. The independent brand is still the main force of sales.
