Shangyi Institute Signs Cooperation Agreement with TUV Rheinland

Introduction: Thomas Fuhrmann, General Manager of Industrial Services, Greater China, TUV Rheinland, Heniz Farke, Head of Global Ex-certification, Mr. Zhang Xiaolong, Ex-certification Manager of Greater China, and Mr. Zhang Kai, Senior Sales Manager of Greater China Ex-certification Service, visited our institute. Xu Jianping, vice president and director of the Institute of Instrument Testing and Control at Shanghai Institute of Instrumentation and Automation, and Lu Qiao, International Affairs Manager of the Institute of Inspection and Measurement, attended the meeting.

The two parties reviewed the fruitful cooperation in the field of product testing technology over the past few years and jointly expressed their intention to cooperate in the explosion-proof technology field. Subsequently, Mr. Xu Jianping and Mr. Heniz Farke signed a bilateral mutual recognition cooperation agreement in the field of explosion-proof testing technology. The signing of the agreement signifies that the Shanghai Instrument and Automatic Control System Inspection and Testing Institute can provide our customers with more efficient and faster "one-stop" international certification of explosion-proof products.

During the talks, the guests visited the laboratories of the testing facility with great interest. Director Xu Jianping also briefed the guests on the capabilities of nuclear power instrument control equipment appraisal, safety-related equipment functional safety assessment capabilities, and software verification and verification (V&V) capabilities. Thomas Fuhrmann’s general manager expressed a strong interest in this and he looks forward to the near future. More extensive cooperation has been carried out in functional areas such as functional safety, software verification and verification, and flow accuracy.
