On November 12, 2008, the 2nd China International Auto Parts Expo (CIAPE) was grandly opened at the China International Exhibition Center (New Hall) in Beijing. It is understood that more than 1,000 exhibitors from 27 countries and regions around the world participated in the exhibition. On the opening day, more than 50,000 spectators from 97 countries and regions participated, and the number of overseas visitors reached more than 6,200.
According to the organizing committee, the CIAPE exhibition is divided into four major exhibition areas according to the company's attributes: “International Pavilion†represented by multinational auto parts companies and famous Chinese companies, and mainly based on the groups of Chinese provinces and auto industry bases. "Provincial City Pavilion", "Modified Vehicles and Supplies Pavilion" jointly sponsored by SEMA and Chinese refitting companies, and an "Indigenous Brand Vehicle Pavilion" composed of Chinese self-owned brand vehicle companies.
TCPO arranges manufacturers to visit Beijing Depot and Auto Parts City and participate in the Canadian Auto Parts Business Fair!
To assist manufacturers in advancing the Chinese and global automotive markets at the same time, the Taipei Automotive Electronic Business Opportunity Promotion Office (TCPO) led 15 Taiwanese companies including South Asia Plastics, Qiaoxin Technology, Sanfang Chemical, Fenglian Enterprise, and Huajing Technology. In the E1 international pavilion of the CIAPE exhibition, in the "Taiwan Automotive Technology Museum" zone, it is displayed in the same pavilion as Bosch, Denso, Delphi, NGK, Hitachi and other international Tier 1 manufacturers and faces international buyers. It can attract buyers from major exhibitors such as SAIC Motor, FAW-Fuault, Dongfeng Parts, Chery and Geely to visit the special zone.
In order to accelerate the expansion of manufacturers' business opportunities in the supply chain of the mainland automobile industry, TCPO arranged for manufacturers to visit car manufacturers including Beijing Foton Motors and Beijing Hyundai Motor before the exhibition to allow both parties to conduct industrial exchanges. In addition, it also led manufacturers to visit Beijing Xijiao Auto Parts City to help manufacturers understand the unique characteristics of China's auto market.
In order to enhance the effectiveness of international cooperation, TCPO also arranged for exhibitors to participate in the “Canada Automotive Parts Symposium and Business Conference†held by Canadian officials during the exhibition. Several exhibitors were arranged with Canadian auto parts manufacturers. Associations (APMA), ABC Group Inc. of Canada, ODG Group of Canada, Woodbridge Group of Canada, Solarsoft Corporation of Canada and other entities communicated and negotiated.
