As a familiar mine crushing device, the jaw crusher has two adjustment methods: gasket adjustment and wedge adjustment.

Gasket adjustment

The jaw crusher is adjusted between the adjustment seat and the rear wall of the frame, and a set of equal thickness gaskets is used to increase or decrease the number of gasket layers to reduce the discharge port of the crusher or Increase. This method can be adjusted in multiple stages, the machine structure is relatively compact, but it must be stopped when adjusting. Large jaw crushers use this adjustment method.

Operation process

When the small smash is adjusted, first screw the top wire rod bolt to open the adjustment seat, leave a gap, and then insert a suitable gasket. This adjustment process is all done manually, and the adjustment work must be stopped. Large smashing requires the lifting of the carcass beforehand.

Wedge adjustment

Wedge adjustment is the adjustment of the discharge opening of the crusher by means of the relative movement of the two wedges between the adjustment seat and the rear wall of the frame. The adjustment seat is a trapezoidal movable element, and the rear wall of the frame is a fixed member.

Spiral wedge adjustment

When the work is broken, the lever acts as a lock. When it is necessary to adjust the size of the discharge opening, loosen the tie rod and start the hoe with the crane hoist, then turn the adjustment bolt to move the wedge right (left) to push the adjustment seat forward (backward). After the adjustment is completed, tighten the lever and lower the movement.

This method can achieve stepless adjustment, easy adjustment, save time, no need to stop adjustment, but increase the size and weight of the machine. Medium and small jaw crushers often use this type of adjustment device.

Hydraulic wedge adjustment

The wedge adjustment can be adjusted by using hydraulic pressure instead of manual power, that is, a hydraulic wedge adjustment device that injects hydraulic pressure through the hydraulic cylinder to move the wedge to the right (left) and push the adjustment seat forward (backward). The structure and working principle are the same as the above-mentioned bolt-type wedge adjustment.

Hydraulic wedge adjustment reduces manual strength and is more intelligent and convenient. The gasket adjustment takes about 2~3h, and the hydraulic wedge adjustment device can be completed in just a few minutes and ensures the fineness of the discharge product.

As the production time increases, the raft is inevitably worn, and the discharge opening size is adjusted in time to ensure the normal discharge size. In addition, when production requires products of different particle sizes, it is also necessary to adjust the size of the discharge opening. In order to reduce downtime, a wedge adjusting device can be used.
