1. After CE1 is connected to the counter and CE1 is activated, the counter does not count.
Cause: Is there any incorrect wiring or poor wiring?
Countermeasures: Check for loose wiring and terminals.
Cause: Is the sensor's supply voltage DC12V or DC24V?
Solution: Supply the rated power supply voltage (DC12V to DC24V) to the sensor unit. Connecting to a power supply other than the rated value can be the cause of the fault.
Cause: Is CEU1 and CEU5 counting mode?
Countermeasures: The count value cannot be displayed in a mode other than counting mode. Please press the MODE button to set the counting mode.
Reason: (when using counters from other companies) Is the counter setting incorrect?
Countermeasures: If the counter switches input mode, check the setting. The input of the counter should be a 2 phase signal (90° phase difference) plus or minus calculation. It is recommended to use CEU1, CEU5.
Cause: Short circuit due to intrusion of liquid or moisture into the sensor circuit.
Countermeasures: When the circuit has been corroded, the sensor unit needs to be exchanged. In addition, measures must be taken to prevent the intrusion of liquids or moisture.
Cause: Due to miswiring, a current exceeding the rated current may cause a short circuit in the output circuit of the sensor.
Countermeasures: When a malfunction occurs, repairs are required. Please consult with us.
2. When CE1 is connected to the counter and CE1 repeats the same action, the count value displayed on the counter is different each time.
Cause: The counter used is counting slowly. Or does not match the input waveform conditions. (Because of the difference in the counter, the conditions such as the speed of rise of the pulse and the duty ratio are also different, so the count rate may be slower.)
Countermeasures: CEU1 and CEU5 are recommended. When using other company's counters, please confirm the conditions related to the specifications.
Cause: The wiring distance is too long and the signal is attenuated. (When using other company's counters or wires, the distance of 23m cannot be guaranteed)
Solution: When the wiring exceeds 23m, select the differential input/output converter. Recommended use of CEU1, CEU5
Cause: Is there a large noise source around the motor, AC AC solenoid, relay, power transformer, etc.?
Countermeasures: Please refer to the noise countermeasures and take appropriate measures.
Reason: Does the cylinder speed exceed the specification range? Excessive cylinder speed may cause miscounts. High-speed motion due to crawling and bouncing.
Solution: Use within the cylinder speed range (70 to 500 mm/s). When used, try not to cause crawling or bouncing.
Cause: Has a swing torque been applied to the piston rod? Excessive rotational torque can cause the position of the sensor probe and the rod scale to deviate, causing poor detection.
Countermeasure: Do not apply swing torque to the piston rod.
