Nissan recalls 36,000 VERSA gearboxes hidden in the United States

Yesterday, Nissan announced in the United States that it had recalled 36,000 2012 VERSA cars with gearbox hidden dangers. VERSA is known in China as Tada and Sunshine.

According to reports, this recall recalls that the 2012 VERSA (Tiida and Sunshine in the country) will be auto-shifted for vehicles produced during the period from June 9, 2011 to January 13, 2012, because these vehicles failed to meet the federal motor vehicle safety standards. (FMVSS) Article 114 "Theft Protection" requirements. Simply put, there is interference between the shift lever of the automatic transmission and the shift handle, so that the vehicle can be switched to the parking position (P position) without having to apply the brake during driving. Consumers familiar with automatic transmission models know that this will cause the vehicle to stop immediately and damage the transmission gear.

Starting from February 20th, Nissan Motor Co. will notify users and dealers to check and replace the shift handles for free, and replace the shifter assembly if necessary.
