Recently, French LNG entourage expert GTT announced that the company has received orders from South Korea's Samsung Heavy Industries, which will equip a new LNG ship with GTT's Mark V technology.
The new ship will be delivered in 2019, built by Samsung Heavy Industries for a European shipowner who is not anonymous. GTT's Mark V technology will ensure that the LNG evaporation rate on board is as low as 0.07%. In addition, the new solution will also use a new Invar and metal film.
Currently, more than 227 LNG ships have been equipped with Mark technology, of which 45 are under construction.
