The main characteristics of the electromagnetic flowmeter are: the measurement process is not easily affected by the density, temperature and viscosity of the liquid; the speed measurement scale is relatively wide. Of course, electromagnetic flowmeters have limitations in measurement because electromagnetic flowmeters can only measure conductive liquids and cannot measure gases and vapors. So what should be considered when selecting electromagnetic flowmeters?

1, conductivity

The medium measured by the electromagnetic flowmeter requires electrical conductivity. The liquid conductivity needs to be greater than 5 μs/cm.

2, accuracy level

The accuracy of the electromagnetic flowmeter is high. Because the measurement range of the liquid flowmeter is large, the measurement range is large, the accuracy must be small, and the larger the range is, the larger the error is, so strict control precision is required. Accuracy flowmeter accuracy is 0.5-1, while conventional glass and gold rotation accuracy is 2.5. The difference is still a bit big. In metering and billing, it is still necessary to select a high-precision electromagnetic flowmeter.

3. Selection of flow rate and caliber

The flow rate of the electromagnetic flowmeter is required to be between 0.5 and 15 m/s, and a reasonable flow rate is generally between 1.5 and 3 m/s. The flow rate is too fast, and if it contains particulate matter, it may scratch the lining of PTFE. Flow rate and caliber need a reasonable selection.

4, the selection of the grounding ring and electrode raw materials

Because the measured liquid and the electrode or the grounding ring do not match, the mismatch, in addition to the corrosion problem, as well as the appearance of the electrode, mainly includes: chemical reaction, polarization, catalyst effect. Grounding rings have the same problems, but the level of impact is smaller.

5, the solid phase in the body

The shortcomings of the liquid that are supposed to contain particles may be: The cover layer of the electrode and the fabric is covered, the fabric is worn, and the cross-sectional area of ​​the pipe is reduced. Some relatively simple crystallized liquids cause a layer of solids on the inner wall when the fluid flows through the flowmeter. Because other types of flowmeters have the same problem, the flowmeters that are very short and can be easily disassembled can be selected. It can be easily disassembled after crystallization to stop the protection.
