Are the companies recalled as "bad guys"? Is a company that does not recall the "good guys"? In the survey conducted by the "New Express" Automotive Survey Weekly reporter for a month, we have discovered that since the implementation of the Chinese automobile recall, companies that have not been recalled in the past seven years actually exist and are in a large number.

"Zero recall" is really a good thing. It is definitely a miracle that a company can do no recall incident within 7 years. For the "zero recall", we must face up to the fact that there is still a gap between the quality of domestic cars and foreign countries. The only reasonable explanation we can give to ourselves is that "zero recall" can only be a Chinese-style coincidence.

Who has created a "zero recall" miracle?

In our recall from China Auto Recall Network for 7 years, the domestic “zero recall” companies include Jianghuai Automobile, Dongfeng Yueda Kia, BYD, Chang’an sedan, and Tianjin FAW.

These companies have not recalled a car since 2004. In stark contrast to this, in the past seven years, they have sold hundreds of thousands or even millions of cars in China. The highest Tianjin FAW has sold more than 1.08 million vehicles in these years. From the number of recalls and the number of sales, we can see that these “zero recall” companies have almost every one of them producing and selling millions of cars. At the same time, none of the cars need to be recalled. This makes us have to doubt.

Taking the earliest Tianjin FAW as an example, the production and sales volume of Tianjin FAW from 2004 to 2009 was as high as 1,086,136, and its models such as Xiali, Vizi, Ville and Weizhi have never been recalled in the past.

From the current statistics of our statistics, there are a total of 5 companies in these “zero recall” mainstream companies. Of these, 4 are self-owned brands. Relatively speaking, only three companies, Great Wall Motors, Chery Automobiles and Geely Automobile, have had a voluntary recall. The near-collective “zero recall” behavior of independent brands does not know whether the overall quality of domestic independent brands has surpassed that of foreign countries, or whether there are other goals that cannot be communicated to the outside world.

There are still many people who are close to the "zero recall"

In addition to the "zero recall", there are 12 mainstream companies with a recall ratio of less than 10% over the past seven years, and five of them are below 5%. Among these companies, we can see that there are many mainstream automotive companies. In addition, due to data restrictions, our statistical data covers the mainstream companies seen in the market. Some imported car brands, non-mainstream pickup companies, and commercial vehicle companies are also "zero recalls."

Particular attention needs to be paid to the fact that there are many companies that have not recalled mini vehicles, buses, light trucks, and heavy trucks in the Chinese auto market so far, and we can even subjectively conclude that 90% of commercial vehicle companies It may be a "zero recall" business.

This needs more attention from relevant departments.

Chinese-style "zero recall"

Compared with Europe, the United States, Japan, South Korea and other relatively developed automobile markets, China's "zero recall" in the past seven years is definitely a Chinese feature.

In the past seven years since the recall was implemented, only a total of 3.21 million vehicles have been recalled. However, we have announced in a high-profile manner that “the number and number of car recalls in 2009 have reached a record high.” The performance that seems to be very satisfactory is to be compared with that of the United States. That would find that the number of recalls and frequency of recalls is only a fraction of the United States.

Chinese car sales have successfully surpassed the United States in 2009, reaching 13.6 million vehicles. The recall rate of vehicles that we have dropped in 7 years is far lower than that in the United States. However, another data shows that although our recalls over the past few years did not “blow out” along with the increase in car sales, our car complaints have been increasing day by day and even reached a high growth rate of 40% last year.

Due to China’s lack of information collection, investigation, and lack of legal restrictions on vehicle recalls, inadequate punishment for violations, etc., Chinese-style “zero recalls” can only be counted as an accident. It is definitely not the quality of Chinese cars has been achieved. Impeccable day!
