Governor
The diesel generator governor is a device that automatically adjusts the fuel supply to the fuel injection pump. It can automatically adjust the fuel supply of the fuel injection pump according to the change of the external load of the diesel engine, so that the diesel engine can operate at a relatively stable rotation speed, thereby ensuring that the diesel engine will not be over-speeded and will not cause downtime at idle. Most failures of mechanical governors are caused by the operator not adding oil to the governor in time. If there is no oil or too little oil inside the governor, it will accelerate the excessive wear of the moving parts and increase the gap between the moving parts. In severe cases, it will directly cause damage to the moving parts.
When the speed of the diesel generator diesel engine is too high and unstable, the high speed limit screw of the governor can be adjusted to make the rotation speed stable, as shown in Figure 2-86. When the idle speed of the diesel engine is too low, the governor can be adjusted. The idle speed limit screw makes the speed stable, as shown in Fig. 2-87: When the idle speed of the diesel engine meets the requirements and the speed is unstable, the low speed stabilizer can be slowly adjusted to stabilize the speed, as shown in Figure 2-88. If the maximum speed and the minimum speed of the diesel engine are in compliance with the factory regulations, and the rotation speed is high and low, the fuel injection pump assembly should be disassembled and sent to the pump center. When the diesel engine is in operation, relative movement between the contact surfaces of the main moving parts is performed at a relatively high speed.
In order to reduce the friction on the surface of the parts, the diesel engine lubrication system lubricates the surface of the parts by means of pressure and splashing to ensure that the various parts of the diesel engine can work normally. The composition of its lubrication system is shown in Figure 1-2.
From Fig. 1-2, when the oil pump is in operation, the oil is inhaled into the oil pump after preliminary filtration through the coarse strainer, and then the oil pump conveys the oil with a certain pressure to the oil filter (where the excess oil passes through The pressure valve is back inside the oil pan). After the oil passes through the filter, it is divided into two channels: all the way through the centrifugal fine filter and then directly flows back into the oil pan: the other way is filtered in the throw filter (by the bypass valve when the filter element is blocked) into the oil radiator. The cooled engine oil is sent to the transmission gear through the main oil passage of the machine body. The crankshaft moving parts, camshaft journals and bearings, the moving parts of the rocker arm assembly, the remaining moving parts of the crankshaft, etc. are lubricated by oil splashing.
The main functions of the lubrication system are: to reduce the friction between moving parts, to take away some of the heat absorbed by the parts, to flush the surface of the parts, to improve the sealing effect of the parts, and to prevent the parts from rusting and corrosion.
There are three kinds of lubrication methods for diesel generator set diesel engine; one is pressure lubrication. Under the action of oil pump, the oil with certain pressure is sent to the friction part of the part.
