According to reports, in order to strengthen the supervision and management of combustible gas alarms, the inspection team of the Changji Quality Supervision Bureau conducted special inspections on combustible gas alarms used by large hotels, hospitals, schools, and other large public places in Changji City.

During the inspection, law enforcement officers checked 87 flammable gas alarms used by 23 hotels, hospitals and schools in Changji City. Among them, 40 flammable gas alarms used by 12 users exceeded the verification validity period. Some users The use of combustible gas alarms even exceeded the validity period of two years. During the inspection, the law enforcement officers also discovered that some users of flammable gas alarms were not properly regulated. After the first inspection was performed during the installation of the alarms, they were not subject to late-stage management. They did not apply for metrological verification in time after the expiration date, resulting in inaccurate alarms. Some users even wrap alarms with plastic films, and installed flammable gas detection and alarm devices as furnishings. There are great security risks.

According to the staff of the Bureau, according to the relevant provisions of the “Measurement Law of the People's Republic of China” and the “Measures for the Management of Work Measuring Instruments Compulsoryly Tested by the People’s Republic of China”, the combustible gas detection alarm relates to personal safety protection and is a kind of prevention of accidents. Safety devices, which are compulsory inspection and measurement instruments, must be included in the scope of mandatory management according to law and must be fixed and fixed.
