The chemical properties of strontium and arsenic are very close. All strontium ore contains arsenic, and some of them are high in content, forming so-called arsenic arsenic. For example, bismuth arsenic ore in Malaysia contains Sb26%~29%, arsenic up to 17.5%, Longshan carp in Hunan Province. Gold arsenic ore contains As23%, Sb22%, Aul00g/t, and the flotation concentrate of Dean, Jiangxi Province contains Sb 35% and As about 5%.
At present, there is no good way to deal with arsenic concentrate. In the former Soviet Union, the alkaline leaching-electrowinning method of bismuth concentrate containing 4% to 8% of arsenic was studied. Under appropriate conditions, strontium and arsenic can be electrolytically separated. Japan has conducted a dry distillation study on high arsenic antimony ore in Malaysia, which has a good effect and has the value of further research. The Precious Metal Research Laboratory of Central South University of Technology has carried out extensive research on Longshan Jinqi arsenic sulfide concentrate and proposed an ideal new process.
The process is characterized in that ruthenium pentachloride is used as a leaching agent, and the obtained ruthenium chloride is hydrolyzed to ruthenium, and the leaching slag after desulfurization with sulfuric acid and oxygen is recovered in the form of arsenic oxide, and then leached. After desulfurization by roasting, and finally chlorination-hydrolysis to extract gold, the results of the expansion test are: the arsenic removal rate is higher than 98%, the desulfurization rate is higher than 98%, and the gold extraction rate is 96% to 98%.
