According to statistics, in the past three years, the Torch has invested 400 million yuan in scientific and technological innovation, and it has achieved remarkable results in promoting cooperation between industry, universities, and research institutes. In the past three years, a total of 126 projects in the region have applied for cooperation among industry-university-research institutes above the municipal level. Of these, 23 have been approved by the provincial level, 121 projects have been approved by the municipal level (supporting facilities), and they have received funding from superiors amounting to 33.45 million yuan. The total number reached 82 people. In terms of service platform construction, 9 provincial-level engineering centers, 39 municipal-level engineering centers, 3 post-doctoral workstations, 58 high-tech enterprises, and high-tech enterprises accounted for 1/4 of the total number of the city. It has successively introduced the "National Technology Transfer Demonstration Organization" of South China University of Technology and the Zhongshan Branch of Guangzhou Technology Equity Exchange, etc. The "State Key Laboratory of Materials Forming and Mould Technology" was initially established. The support of science and technology has also won more “national” awards for the Zhongshan Torch Development Zone.
