The planting area of ​​early spring maize in Donghua North accounted for 52% of the country. The terrain in this area is relatively flat and the planting scale is large. The existing corn breeding materials and hybrids have late maturity and poor density, and it is difficult to realize the whole process of mechanization. Production is urgently needed for new varieties of mechanized corn.
The project is based on the urgent needs of the corn industry development in the region, relying on the Corn Institute of Heilongjiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences, integrating Jilin Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Liaoning Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Beijing Agriculture and Forestry Academy, Northeast Agricultural University, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, China Agricultural University Regional scientific research teaching and large-scale seed industry groups such as Yufeng Seed Industry, East Asia Seed Industry, and Ji Nong High-tech Seed Industry carry out scientific and technological research. The project was decomposed into four varieties of northeastern early maturing, northeastern early maturity, northeastern mid-early maturity, and mid-early maturity in North China, and the cultivation of new mechanized maize varieties, as well as the selection of special maize varieties and intellectual property evaluation mechanism and new breeding models. The task is to use modern breeding techniques and excellent germplasm resources to create seeds with high temperature tolerance, stable and robust emergence, strong drought resistance at seedling stage, high resistance to stem rot and ear rot, resistance to large spot and gray spot, High resistance to head smut and smut disease, early maturity, fast dehydration of seeds, high seed yield, good quality of commercial grain, resistant to dense and resistant corn breeding, breeding of new inbred lines and new inbred lines Hybrids, create new materials for silage, high starch, high oil and protein breeding, select new inbred lines and special new varieties, carry out demonstration and application of new varieties, study the intellectual property evaluation and service mechanism of corn varieties, and explore reasonable scientific research division.
