ExxonMobil Marine Lubricants has introduced Mobilgear SHC MT 68 lubricants for gearboxes and thrusters operating under extreme conditions. According to the company, the lubricant is a marine gear oil that is fully synthetic under extreme pressure conditions. It has been proven that the marine gear oil can optimize the performance of equipment operating under extreme conditions. Mobilgear SHC MT 68 lubricants are used in sealed marine gear trains, including spur, helical and bevel gears that mesh with steel and steel operating at oil temperatures up to 100 °C.
According to reports, Mobilgear SHC MT 68 lubricants are particularly suitable for gear sets that operate under heavy or shock loading conditions. Mobilgear SHC MT 68 lubricants have met and exceeded the requirements of the American Gear Manufacturers Association (AGMA) 9005-E02-EP standard, DIN 51517 CLP (Part 3) and ISO 12925-1 CKD standards. ExxonMobil currently offers Mobilgear SHC MT 68 lubricants in both 5 gallon and 55 gallon sizes.
