China's sales of excavators have been negative for four consecutive months

The reporter learned from yesterday that, in August, China's excavator sales were 7,864 units, a year-on-year decline of 11.10%, which was the fourth consecutive month of negative growth since May of this year. People in the industry believe that although September and October will usher in a small upsurge of traditional sales, this year may be "not busy in the peak season," and excavator sales growth will further decline.

Duan Jiaxuan, researcher of China Investment Advisor Machinery Industry, pointed out that after experiencing rapid growth in 2010, the construction machinery market was faced with an unprecedented challenge in 2011, and the decline in sales growth for a period of time will become an inevitable trend. Although the overall market demand is soft, the performance of domestic brands is very prominent. China Construction Machinery Business Network's latest survey statistics show that in August, the local brand's market share reached 38.53%, and five years ago, the local brand's market share was only 15.51%. Shangpu Consulting believes that as China's influence in the international market is gradually expanding, the excavator industry still has a lot of export opportunities.
